Have you ever wanted to learn how to preserve your favorite fruits the old-fashioned way? Join us for Canning Basics 101, a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn the time-tested techniques of safe, effective home canning—just like grandma used to do!
In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll be guided step-by-step through the fundamentals of canning, including:
✅ Introduction to canning tools and equipment
✅ The importance of sterilization for safe food preservation
✅ How to prepare seasonal fruit for canning
✅ The water bath canning method
✅ Hands-on practice making two types of low-sugar, natural pectin jam
Each student will leave with jars of their own homemade preserves and the skills to keep canning at home!
