Blacksmithing 104 – “Intro to Knife Making” Workshop

In this introduction to knife making, students will learn to draw out a blade, tang, handle, and guard, all from one piece of 1075 carbon steel.  

This style of knife is often referred to as a Viking or blacksmith’s knife.  

Once the knife is forged, students will then learn to harden, temper, and grind the knife to its final shape.
