In Cooking with Fire, students will learn the history of various outdoor cooking methods, including the basics of food preparation without modern conveniences.

Cooking over fire has been used for thousands of years and is still a vital skill to use today.

Whether you are interested in survival skills, prepping, homesteading, or just another way to enjoy cooking, this class will increase your knowledge of those methods.

Techniques such as using green saplings and bamboo to make a campfire grill and rudimentary smoking hut, using a dutch oven, and others will be covered in this class.

Foods such as smoked fish, grilled/smoked meats, soups and/or stews, drop biscuits, etc. will be cooked using these skills.
