🔥 Blacksmithing: Rebar Snake Class 🔥

Adults have been asking for their own chance to forge one of the rebar snakes created during our kids’ camp classes—now is your opportunity!

In this hands-on, full-day workshop, you’ll transform a piece of rebar into a one-of-a-kind metal snake. Learn traditional forging techniques including upsetting, drawing out, and tapering, then shape your snake’s head and add eyes and nostrils. Each student will have the opportunity to give their snake its own unique shape and personality.

You’ll also gain experience with:

• Basic blacksmith shop safety
• Working with a coal fire
• Shaping and texturing hot steel
• Basic finishing techniques

📅 Date: September 2, 2026
🕘 Time: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM & 1:00 PM–5:00 PM
🥪 Lunch Break: 12:00 PM–1:00 PM (Bring your own and explore the site!)
💲 Cost: $140 per student
👨‍🏭 Class Size: Limited to 6 students

What to Bring:
✅ Safety glasses
✅ Closed-toe shoes, long pants, and a long-sleeved shirt
✅ Water bottle

⚠️ Students under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The adult need not be a paying student but must remain outside the smithy.
