Join Donna and Lenard Putney for a guided plant identification walk through the beautiful Hagood Mill campus as you discover Jewelweed and other moisture-loving medicinal plants growing naturally along the landscape.

Learn how Appalachian settlers relied on these wild plants long before cultivated gardens became common and gain a new appreciation for the abundance of edible and medicinal resources found in nature. This class serves as a wonderful introduction to the day’s Jewelweed workshops, but also stands on its own for anyone interested in learning more about wild plants.
