Join us for a guided walk through the beautiful Hagood campus, where we will explore the early spring edibles and medicinal plants hiding in plain sight. This class will teach you how to identify wild plants before they fully leaf out, helping you recognize valuable food and medicine growing right in your own backyard.

What You’ll Learn:

How to identify edible and medicinal wild plants in early spring
Nutritional benefits of common “weeds”
Ways to incorporate wild edibles into everyday meals
How to research health benefits of wild plants you find
✅ Recommended books and websites for identifying plants in our region

We will take a leisurely walk of about half a mile, discussing plants along the way. Weather permitting, we will observe, touch, and discuss various species to help you develop confidence in foraging for food and medicine.
