Join us for a hands-on, four-hour workshop with Certified Holistic Naturopathic Practitioner and retired nurse Donna Horn Putney, affectionately known as Donna Mother Herb. Donna and her husband, Lenard, own and maintain Putney Farm—a permaculture food forest, nursery, and herbal paradise in the Upstate. With decades of experience in herbal medicine and sustainable living, Donna brings a wealth of plant wisdom to every class she teaches. Find her on Facebook as Donna Horn Putney.
This interactive class combines outdoor foraging, plant identification, and traditional herbal remedy-making.
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Foraging and learning plant identification and medicinal properties, plus cautions for specific plants. Discover the best times and techniques for harvesting to ensure the highest quality results.
After a short lunch break, we’ll move into hands-on salve making, using everyday kitchen tools to turn freshly foraged herbs into nourishing ointments, salves, and lotions. You’ll take home your own handmade creation—and the skills to reproduce it confidently at home!
Each session is unique—featuring different plants, methods, and seasonal discoveries!
💚 Come ready to explore, create, and connect with nature’s pharmacy!
You’ll go home inspired, knowledgeable, and equipped to begin your own journey in herbal healing.
