About the Instructor

Donna Horn Putney, affectionately known as β€œDonna Mother Herb,” is a retired nurse and Certified Holistic Naturopathic Practitioner who has been an advocate for local, sustainable food and plant medicine in the Upstate for decades.

Donna and her husband, Lenard, designed and operated Putney Farm, a permaculture food forest, free-range poultry farm, nursery, and herbal paradise for over 20 years. They also helped launch the local food movement through the former online market Upstate Locally Grown.

With decades of experience studying edible and medicinal plants, Donna now shares her knowledge through in-person classes and online education. You can find her on Facebook as β€œDonna Horn Putney.”
