Petroglyphs at Hagood Mill Historic Site

The petroglyphs, discovered in 2003 by Michael Bramlett, were researched and cataloged by Dr. Tommy Charles and then covered by the Hagood Creek Petroglyph Center.

The Hagood Creek Petroglyph Site

Designated as South Carolina's only petroglyph site open to the public, the Hagood Creek Petroglyph Site is housed in a specially designed pavilion to preserve and showcase these remarkable artifacts. This state-of-the-art facility features climate control and interpretive displays, allowing visitors to explore the carvings up close while learning about their historical and cultural significance.
